[Based on a true story] Kaylee has no clue what happened. One second, she is sitting in middle school with her nose stuck in a book, and the next she's in the band room with a trombone between her legs. For years, it had always been her dream to join the band. After moving to a new town and learning about a marching band, she struggles through her eighth grade year trying to settle on the instrument that is right for her. After four failed attempts with no luck, her teacher throws the trombone at her, and before she knows it, she's out on the high school football field playing in front of a big crowd of people. After over a year of jumping instruments, Kaylee fears that she will never be able to play anything. What if she messed up? Though she often feels alone, she still has yet to learn that she will always have her section behind her. {Rated PG; some offensive jokes} Highest rating: #533 in Paranomal (it used to be this genre) COMPLETED JAN 3, 2017 Note: Currently under editing Cover made with Canva - Free Wattpad Cover Maker [https://www.canva.com/create/wattpad-covers/] Image: http://kanstul.com/intros/trombone.jpg

When Blue moves to a sleepy rural city hiding from a past she wishes she could forget, she wants to focus on one thing. Music. So, trombone in hand, she joins Buchanan Preparatory School's infamous marching band, known only for playing worse than the football team, which is a feat in itself. She never imagined though, that things would get so complicated. She is bombarded by attention from boys of all types and social ranking, but must ultimately defy them all in order to keep her secret safe. But when she does finally open up her guarded, broken heart, she finds out that sometimes your past isn't important. And sometimes, it is.
