Sympathy- Feeling of pity and sorrow for someone else's missfortune. She didn't want it, nor did she need it. 17 year old Samantha Smith never got anything but sympathy, it wasn't because she had it worse then everybody, no she had everything she wanted, family, clothes a good life she had everything she could've wanted except for friends. That wasn't her fault, she stopped talking for 3 main reasons they were simple and made sense , most thought she was mute, but she wasn't, she was just simply afraid.
