What Happened To Forever

All it takes is that one love to scar a heart. All it takes is that one word to shatter the once mended pieces of a broken heart. The saying goes if you love someone let them go... If they return to you it was meant to be... If they don't their love was never yours to begin with. Why do we spend all our time holding onto the last piece of love. Why do we try so hard to save something that does not need saving. Why do we try so hard to relive the moments when we knew we were truly in love. Maybe we spend all our time because we don't want to loose the memories. The late night drives and the only place we felt safe. Those memories are gone now. Gone as they will ever be.
