I often wished I had never met Penny. She was reckless, rude and generally unaware of the consequences that could follow her actions. I should have known from the first day of kindergarten when she tickled the back of my neck with a tuft of my own hair in one hand, grinning wildly with a pair of safety scissors in her other that she wasn't worth any sort of redemption.
Being the pushover I am, however, I somehow found it in me to befriend her. I knew it would lead to trouble. I never could have imagined it would lead to the two of us getting stranded on an island and getting caught up in a war between spirits tied to trees and an inhuman prince born from ash.
Prequel to Weeping Willow, with the purpose of shedding some light on the nymphs.

||Book 1 of the Diamond Series|| The world had fallen into chaos a long time ago. Creatures came and enslaved the human race: Vampires, Lycans/Werewolves and Demons. They took and slaughtered thousands of innocent people. Men, Women and Children. After suffering for ten years, another set of beings came. Turns out she was a hybrid of all four. More powerful than anything. No one knows for sure how this hybrid was made and at some point, no one cared. Her name was Elaka. She was seen as a priestess. Elaka was the savior of all humans. She created a boarder and the world was divided in two: The Land of Light; was so peaceful that it had to be shielded from the world. Elaka had put a protective hidden wall around the kingdom so no one would come in unless brought in by the citizens. There were humans that lived there and their lives were a paradise. And total peace. And there was the Dark land. Where every other creature lived. The three major kingdoms tolerated each other for as long as they could. Years passed without war. Until Elaka suddenly vanished. Without her, the world would become chaotic again. The crystal was lost in the forest. So many have searched for it but never succeeded. Even if they ever found it, the legend says it was set in stone. It was glued to a tree and only 'The Diamond in The Rough' could pull it out. That person was never found.مكتمِلة

His own guilt weighed heavily on him too, because the oracle had forewarned that he could only take his place once his father lost his life, and Cróga wasn't ready to face that loss, or to face his own self-doubt. When the white wolf reappears, Fiáin isn't prepared for her father's decision to send her away, to be the mate of a wolf she barely knows. She's even less prepared for a journey in the company of Styrkr, a male from across the sea who wants to travel Tírlaochra before taking more responsibility in his own pack. None of that matters for long, though, because when the black ships appear from the fog that blankets the sea, war returns to a land that's known peace for centuries, and both Fiáin and Cróga will need to find their places, for the good of everyone.

"Why won't you let me go? I am not yours to keep, and never will be." Those words coming from her pouty lips stung his chest, but it did not waver in his determination. He pulled her wrist, causing her to fall in his embrace and he whispered in her ear softly. "No matter what you are or who you are, I will not let you leave my sight, not even for one second! Your tricks might work with other people, but not me." The tension between them got ten times worse when he felt her shiver underneath his body. Spending most of his life as a woodcutter to make ends meet for his family, Christopher did not expect to be knocking down a faery house in his lifetime since they were supposed to be a myth. The faery isn't too happy about her house being gone, now that her house is in pieces, Christopher has to give her a home until he can find her a new one, where no one will cut it down like he did.مكتمِلة

Something didn't feel right. I looked around my room slowly; cautiously; taking everything in and trying not to feel too nervous. Perhaps Lure was in my room right now, watching me, silently laughing to himself. I didn't doubt it. I slipped off my bed and walked around, hugging my waist, and tilted my head. I felt my rough ponytail slide against the back of my neck and over my shoulder as I moved. "Lure?" I hissed, "Lure, are you there?" I wandered around a little, for some reason feeling scared. But why? It was only Lure. He wouldn't hurt me, would he? "Okay, Lure. Quit it. I know it's you. Who else would it-" I stopped, startled, when I heard a strange sound that made me cringe. It was like fingernails being dragged across a chalkboard. I whipped around and came face-to-face with my mirror. Immediately, I saw the difference. Various scratches were displayed across the glass, forming words. It looked as if claws had written the words in the mirror. "Deepest apologies, but it was fun." The Blade and The Bird
She'd spent many years playing in this forest as a child. While Selene had enjoyed her novels in the warmth of the house, a blanket wrapped around her narrow shoulders, Sidra always came home covered in mud and scrapes from hours out in the wilderness. She'd take an axe out into the forest and pretend to fight off monsters, the terrifying Mystics that her grandmother had told her stories about. She'd pretend to fight Lycans, knocking out their massive teeth one by one. She'd stand atop rocks and throw her axe at the trees, pretending they were wood nymphs come to steal her away. She'd always return home and tell Selene about the monsters she'd fought that day, spinning together a story of courage and bravery for her little sister. She felt that pain in her heart again as she thought of those times. Through the years, she'd stop going into the woods to play, and she'd instead find stories for Selene. Books of all sizes and shapes, no matter the content, because it made her feel close to her sister just as she had before her parents died. She thought of her family now, how she was all alone. Her parents had been gone for years, her grandmother, and now even Selene was missing somewhere. She needed to find her sister, she couldn't lose the last bit of her family. **مكتمِلة
