Hazel Grace Perry has had dark thought since she was a young little girl. First, her mother leaves. Then, she finds a new lover, who then leaves her heart hanging from a string. So, you can probably guess how her life has been after everything. The only person supporting her now is her best friend, May Cooper. She takes care of her, makes sure she laughs, cries with her, motivates her to get out there, and even feeds her when no one else would. But one day, another angel comes into her life, with the name  Mr. Mysterious. 

Who is he, you may ask? Well, all I know is that since he first came into high school on his first day, Hazel has been intrigued, and so has he. 

What could Mr. Mysterious have done that makes her intrigued? Could they have fallen in love on the first sight? Could they have hated each other? Could he be just another abusive boyfriend?
