Wynter M Christian is a detective best known to the world as Mear. As one of the youngest detectives, Mear is very valuable to the world for cracking case after case in America. But when she is then called upon L again, her mentor and partner in the Los Angeles BB Murders case, to help him crack the seemingly impossible Kira case along with L's other chosen ones Mello and Near. Along the way Mear has to be cautious of every move she makes and everything she believes in.
" What if Kira isn't truly the mad person like L believes? Am I only choosing L's side because he's my mentor? What if...they're both doing wrong..."
Join Mear as she must battle between both sides. As she must face one of the greatest cases of all time. With the help of her mentor and her new friends, will Mear be able to make the right choices? Will Mear choose L or Kira? Most importantly does Mear have what it takes to survive this deadly adventure of mystery, crime, and love?
(This is purely fanfiction. All Death Note characters go to their owners and Mear is mine and I made the cover. The story will have a few twists of mine but the rest goes to Death Note.)

When one team hits a snag in their case on Beyond Birthday's most recent murders, the newcomer, Bambi, is sent to aid them. Conflict arises when teams collide, ultimately throwing them into the fray of L's biggest case yet. Even in Japan, Bambi is haunted by the man who once shared her letter as "B". Her trauma leads her contemplate her already-gray perspective on morality and justice. Was Kira actually the heartless murderer that L portrays him as?
