Drawn to a gift from the heavens Jibreel's life will take a turn that endangers everything he has ever loved and ultimately the world itself.

Created at the request of readers just like you this is the story of how Jibreel's life led to events that would threaten the world in the novel Scourge of Byzantium.

Also included is the first three chapters of Book 1 in the Byzantium infected series, Scourge of Byzantium.

The third chapter is a new chapter not featured in the original edition of Scourge of Byzantium. It is the first episode in a series of short stories I will be writing called the Nasir and Maarika Chronicles. Nasir and Maarika are of one people but two worlds. One grew up inside Byzantium's Arabia Province, the other the open desert of Arabia. They will meet on the eve tragedy that will forever change both of their lives.All Rights Reserved

UPAE, or the United Provinces of the American Empire, has managed to survive, even thrive through six generations of solely female rulers, beginning with the first leader, formerly Mrs. President before California fell into the ocean, Yellowstone became a volcanic crater, Global warming turned Florida into an an Archipelago and the sun rendered modern circuitry useless. The successful creation of heirs was ensured by the Choosing, a process by which the young heir finds at least two suitable mates in the male population through extreme testing and beauty screening. This is where we find Nefertiti, the most recent heir in the successful line, in the midst of Choosing the four that will rule her empire with her, however only one will have the duty, the honor, of producing the next heir. However, years of relative peace and prosperity are about detonate as the volatile Republic of Antarctica begins its secret plans. They are desperate. And hungry. So the question is not whether the destruction will come. The question is... Who will survive?

Those with lighter hair follicles and iris colors are considered problematic; skin tone is no longer the issue. Every race has the ability to be born with lighter features, so there's no prejudice against race. Just physical features. Sybaran is the continent; Nephraim (home village) , Salem (stricter division, where Aero was born), Mieich, and Shankrai, are the 4 subdivisions (countries) of Sybaran that we have so far.
