Halyn didn't always want to leave. Growing up in a nearly perfect household, she never saw any reason to. As the academically gifted child of the family, her life was centered around becoming a studious, well-rounded individual, maintaining an exemplary GPA, and reading three books a week. But when she turns seventeen and her friends turn reckless, she begins to wonder what she's missing out on, and for a teenager, the pull of curiosity is a very strong one.
