To all readers old and new, this story will be soon taken down and re-written. Thanks for all the support. As soon as it is re-written, I will be sure to repost the chapters. Follow me for more information.

Abigail Jenkins is a young African woman from Missouri in the early 1890's. She's caught wind of the Oklahoma Land Rush and now she's set her mind on getting a chunk of land for herself. She's tired of the high minded white people from her old town and she wants to take charge of her own life. She is well aware of all the risks she may face by going alone into unknown territory, but she's willing to take that chance to have a new start on life. Derek Greyson, on the other hand, is a man simply wanting a change in scenery. After his parents died, he'd been taking care of his little sister. But now that she's married, he's turned his attention away from his home in Texas, and to the Land Rush in Oklahoma. He finds himself in the dust ridden land with thousands of others, greedy for a piece of the land. What he didn't expect, however, was to meet a lively little African woman with a sharp tongue, deep chocolate eyes and a mountain load of prejudices against white men due to the murder of her little sister. What will he do when he finds himself falling for her, along with all of her emotional demons? And for Abigail, what will she do when the stranger with icy blue eyes and a charming smile decides to break all social norms just to be with her?

A Thin Line Between Love & Hate (Love Conquers All series) ORIGINAL VERSION by AMS1971
82 parts Complete Mature
NOTE: This is the ORIGINAL version. The revised version, which includes multiple added scenes and extended storylines, will be published on amazon as two separate books (A Thin Line Between Love & Hate / A Short Distance Between Heaven & Hell). The revised versions may or may not be uploaded onto wattpad, I haven't yet decided if I will be doing that. **The extremist group in this story is based on the Westboro Baptist Church located in Topeka, Kansas. ________________________________ Josh Waylon is a prisoner in his own home, his own mind. Part of an extreme religious group who has targeted homosexuals, Josh is forced to live the hate that the leader--his father--has poisoned them with. But Josh has a secret of his own, one which would bring him extreme pain and punishment within the group and alienate him from everyone he knows. When the group moves to a new town, a community which is predominantly LGBTQ, and Josh starts at the new school, he feels like a sheep amidst wolves as the many gay kids within the school know exactly who he is and what his family does. Josh feels no security with his two older brothers, who expect him to suck it up and accept the persecution as a servant of God. Brandon Nichols immediately detects the difference between Josh and his brothers, seeing deeper within the young man and the truth he is hiding, desperate not to be found out. Brandon believes his calling is to help bridge the gap between the gays and Christians in his school, but he has his work cut out for him with Josh Waylon and the extremist group that has him locked down--emotionally, spiritually...and sexually.

The land they crossed was beautiful, the land was not flat but sloped into valleys and hills peppered with trees that gave shade and small streams, as they moved Sam spoke to him about the dry season, details of the land and where water could be found, and anything she thought would interest the man. Running out of things to say she turned to him and asked, " any questions?" " not regarding the land, would you mind answering a few personal ones?" Bryan asked Sam shook her head, "yes, I mind, I don't particularly like it, no offense." "None taken, just curious to know why you want to be mistaken for a boy." Sam reigned in her horse, and waited until he did the same. She pulled one leg out of the stirrup and placed it over the horn where she rested her elbow on her knee and placed her face on her hand, "think about this," she said nudging her horse so that she almost touched the man, "would we be riding here, like this, alone, if I looked like Cecile? All grace and delicacy?" Sam's eyebrows rose and an impish smile spread on her face as she watched Bryan's face change as her words sunk, and he pulled back. I wrote this story in the nineties, for my mother who was an avid romance reader and Barbara Cartland follower, she had been diagnosed with lung cancer and there wasn't much to do. Since we lived far apart I wrote this and other stories to entertain her and show my love. She was a brave woman who ventured from her motherland, Germany and married a man from Peru which language she did not even speak. I based most of my stories in her circumstances of not fitting in, she went to a country where she knew no one, and there she stayed for the love of one man.

"I'm going to take care of you and the kids, Grace." Oh. I just...I get this feeling within me that just warms me throughout. "You already are, Joe." "I know, but I mean in a different way. I've been doing that as an outsider. I'd like to be a part of your family." "Joseph...you've been a part of our family for years. We've never thought of you in any other way." It's the truth. His eyebrows raise and he stares at me for a while. Then he nods. I smile gently and he kisses my cheek again then gives me a smoldering look. "Thank you." He brings one of my hands to his lips, pressing a kiss to it, his eyes still fixed on mine. My breath catches with the intensity there. "I love you, Grace." The sincerity in his words are as clear as day. All at once, I feel so incredibly grateful to have him in my life and I find tears springing up. His gaze softens as he sees them. Ordinarily I would try to hide this obvious sign of vulnerability, but I don't. There's no reason to with him. "I love you too." He smiles gently and then turns his head towards my hand still on his face, pressing a tender kiss to my palm. ~~~ This is an age gap interracial (bwwm) Christian romance that involves Joe, a widower, and Grace, a widow of six years and family friend. Joe has just lost his wife and Grace is there for him as he works through a grief that she is unfortunately familiar with. As the years go by and he continues to heal, their friendship develops into something more.

Forced To Marry A Gang Leader (COMPLETED)

43 parts Complete

MUST READ: This book has been written till chapter 42, then the chapter after is an explanation of what I was planning for the ending as I don't have time to update and feel that you guys deserve to know. I'm so sorry for any grammar mistakes as this book was written a while ago, when I was quite young and I don't know what possessed me to name my characters Shadow and London but read at your own risk hehe. Regardless, I've had many messaged about this book so I thought I'll republish it again but like I said it's not the best! "I do." What would you do when you come home after 2 years and you're told you're going to marry a gang leader? London Pierce definitely didn't take it well. Unfortunately she didn't know much about gangs, so when she slaps the most feared gang leader and her future husband. Lets just say he didn't take it well. Shadow Winters hates it when people disrespect him. He's the type who won't think twice before killing you. He's very cocky and might I add has very bad anger issues. Mix him with London, who doesn't take shit from no one, who has terrible anger problems and is not afraid to put up a fight. I don't think it's a good combination. But what will she do when she finds out the real reason for why she was forced to marry Shadow? What will she do when she realizes she's slowly falling for Shadow?
