Merlin casts the the most powerful spell in the history of magic to save Arthur. It leaves him in a slump suffering the side-effects. Merlin is plagued with nightmares, hallucinations, and more. Will they be able to help their friend Merlin? Or will Merlin hide the extent of his pain and drown as a result? This story is specifically for fans of the Merlin TV show. We pick up right at the last episode of the show however I made a few changes...This work is my own with the addition of a completely new story line that just continues that heart-felt and silly world from the show that we all love. This story is about love and the struggles that we must overcome in the name of it. A lot of Merthur, but I keep it pretty pg-13 so don't expect a lot of smut. I DON'T OWN ANY OF THESE CHARACTERS or pictures I found them on google so if you know the artists plz comment! This is a Fan-Fiction based upon the BBC series 'Merlin': Merlin is busy as usual working as King Arthur's servant. He rarely gets a good night's sleep, and it's beginning to take its toll on him. Morgana goes all in to prevent Gwen from taking her place as queen beside Arthur on the throne of Camelot. It had been five years since Balinor had died and three since Arthur had become king. Life in Camelot was surprisingly peaceful until Merlin noticed changes in his appearance. Knowing something was wrong when his magic refused to work or the spells were weaker/stronger than they should have been. When he found out from Kilgharrah what was happening to him he knew he had to leave Camelot until he regained control. He knew he had to find Vivianna to help him achieve his goal. He had been told that this trip might take him several months, but he had no choice if he didn't want to accidentally hurt someone he cared about. Together with Gaius's help, he came up with a suitable excuse for why he wasn't there. However, he didn't expect that his sudden disappearance would have such an impact on his friends because he didn't consider himself important. How do his friends react to his transformation and when they learn the reason why? There are also would be some outtakes and flashbacks. Merlin and Arthur. There never was, nor would there be, a pair quite like those two. Arthur, the Once And Future king of Camelot; and Merlin, the greatest sorcerer of all time. Of course, Arthur doesn't know about Merlin, nor does he know about the way Merlin is starting to feel... In the very beginning, Merlin had realized his love for his master, but then his master had realized his love for Morgana's old handmaid, Gwen. Merlin was heartbroken, but got over it, or at least he told himself that he had. Gwen has just been cast out of Camelot, and Merlin is rediscovering his old feelings for Arthur.
