Charlotte or charlie which she prefers falls in love at age 16 with her boyfriend of a year.
They got older growing closer and aa soon as they graduated moved in together.
Her so blinded by her love for him doesnt think twice about his drinking problem or the fact that he has had a very short temper with her.
one day he comes home and is very angry having no patience for Charlies loving actions towards him.
That was the day the abuse started.
Charlie still deeply in love with his old self makes herself think that he could change.

But one day he crosses the line doing something so bad it doesnt just fade away like all of Charlies bruises do.
Nervous she packs her bags along with her only source of comfort besides her brother, Jazzy her 6 month old beagle and hits the road.
Now trying to make a new life by herself she travels to Sunnyvale California an old vacationing place she used to go to with her mother.
The second day she is there house hunting she runs into Oliver who is a very mysterious guy.
Can he help her with her fear of men?
