In the Covenant, an insidious theocracy, genetic mutation carries a death sentence. Conform or die. It seems to be a perfect, harmonious society-but is it?

When sixteen-year-old Cheska Bellamy's mutation is exposed, she's forced to flee her starship to the partly-terraformed planet below. As she makes her way across a devastated landscape, she discovers that there had been a race of sentient creatures with a flourishing civilization. All that remain are battered ruins and a handful of Indigens who'd moved underground after Cheska's people began terraforming their planet.

When she connects with the human resistance on the planet, she learns that her people on the starship have been secretly enslaved by an alien race; the most terrifying part (for her) is that she might be the key to her people's freedom.

What if she doesn't want to be that key? Doesn't she get to decide her own future? Her people talk of self-determination, but Cheska learns one thing for sure: free will may be an illusion, but evil is very real.

A Science-Fiction/Adventure Romance. In the year 799 (Aschen calender), Earth is a colony under strict reign by an oppressive Aschen government. The Aschen have turned humans into slaves, and seized control over the entire planet, including the Stargate--a device that allows them to form a wormhole and travel thousands of light years across the galaxy to their home planet within seconds. Humanity is at the brink of extinction. Due to advanced Aschen medicine human lifespan has almost tripled, but most of the human population is born infertile. Only a small percent of humans are so-called gifted ones, who are able to conceive/father children. Strict rules apply to these gifted ones, as the Aschen government wants to uphold the human population. Samantha Carter is 25 years old. She has just come of age and undergoes her first fertility tests. When her tests turn out positive, her life is about to take a dramatic turn for the worse. Unwilling to accept a forced marriage and life in a breeding facility under Aschen control, she runs away from home to find the resistance and fight for the freedom of Earth as well as her own. As she meets Jack O'Neill, camp leader of resistance Cell 4, neither of them realizes they are bound together by more than the mutual goal to free Earth from Aschen reign. Side by side, they fight to liberate their world from the oppression of an alien race using a second, secret Stargate found almost a century before in the Antarctica forests... Note: Although this work borrows characters and concepts from the television show Stargate SG-1, this work stands on its own and is independent from the television show.

Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258! Outcasts by KatJWarren
52 parts Complete
Cassidy lives like most other under 21s - she follows the law. She knows that if she doesn't, she risks being taken away. Rebellious behaviour cannot be tolerated under any circumstances, especially with her parents watching her every move. The rules have been in place for a long time - the Democrats have beaten the Republicans in the New Elections for the past 60 years, with their names being the only recognisable aspects of their parties when comparing to the past. Anyone that chooses not to follow the rules can drop out and become what's known as an Outcast, but then you risk being imprisoned. While America seems to be running perfectly under these laws, a rebellion is stirring among the professionals. With secrets and lies in government and families alike to change the future of America forever, Cassidy finds herself caught up in the middle of the all out war that is about to break out. What she thought she knew about her world is about to change forever, bringing everyone she knows down with her. DISCLAIMER 2016/2017: This book is a few years old at this point, and due to the political uproar in American in 2016 I feel the need to make this abundantly clear. Outcasts takes place in a dystopian world in an undetermined year in the future, and the political parties depicted in this story - the Republicans and the Democrats - are in no way, shape or form a commentary on their real-life counterparts. I had very little knowledge of American politics when I wrote this story, and if I could go back and change their names I would. Throughout the story you will read of absurd flaws in both party agendas, and in no way did I ever intend to shame or defame the real life Republican and Democratic parties of America. See them as purely fictitious - that's what they are, after all.

Testing Pandora

21 parts Complete

In the far future, genetic engineering is used to strip all sapient species of disability. But when humans have a brief fad of natural birth, disabled children start reappearing. They're quickly termed "Pandoras," the value of their very lives brought into question, and laws are put into place to prevent their births from happening ever again. Xandri Corelel is one of these Pandoras, a young autistic woman scorned by her family and fighting to eke out a living on the streets of Wraith. Then she meets Chui Shan Fung, captain of the first contact and refugee ship Carpathia. Captain Chui has been watching her, and knows about the talent for understanding alien species that Xandri has cultivated. She wants Xandri as part of her crew--but first, Xandri must pass a test to see if she'll even fit in. Wary but hopeful, Xandri joins the Carpathia at Psittaca, a newly-discovered planet peopled by parrot-like sapients. Learning to understand this new species is the easy part compared to trusting her new crew mates. As Xandri continues her diplomatic efforts with the Psittacans, it becomes apparent that the Carpathia's crew aren't the only ones to have discovered the planet, but these other visitors don't have good intentions. In order to protect this beautiful new world, Xandri must find it in herself to overcome years of abuse and neglect, and trust in her new crew.
