For the past ten years, Lyra lived among the Norms trying to conceal her hidden talents, or, rather, her powers. She made the final decision to return to the life she grew up in, with the Naturals, but she chose the worst timing ever. She accidentally brought with her a Norm and now the stranger must learn to live with the Naturals until Lyra can find a way to bring him back to his parallel universe safely, without the Guards learning what she had done.
