Not The Last {Rough Draft}
~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. That seems like an easy thing to start with. Now, let me add in some other details. I live in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, that's about as enjoyable as I can make it seem. Now let me add in something else. I'm wanted by the CIA for reasons that I don't even know, but I guess I will find out eventually. Maybe somewhere within my story I will figure it out. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. Everywhere we go every man on Earth, would have various gadgets around them. The world is now borderless. Everyone can communicate with anyone no matter where they are. There aren't any more boundaries between societies. Other than that, with the presence of the Internet man, could seek various kinds of information from multiple websites; be it useful or harmful. Death had not been any man's fear. Even though it is a fact that every man would pass to the afterlife when the time had come, they do not fear the consequences they had to bear later. Some mistakes weren't well observed as not everyone was gifted with good observation and understanding skills. Due to that, some man was blind by revenge. Hatred and revenge burnt in their heart and soul forgetting that the law is still being upheld. Letters and notes were old ways to express someone's feelings. With the new technology, many had decided to move on, using e-mails and social media to express what they feel. Having a note in a home compound might be exciting for anyone but not Addison Lore. Those notes were sent to her without fail for fourteen continuous days. Even a red ruby ring. Will she be able to escape the fate she was about to face? Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing.
