Janelle Avery Thompson is a normal 15 year old girl. So why is she being kicked out of her house? And why is she called "he" all the time? Her parents disapprove strongly of her choice. Her mum says she was born a boy and wants to keep it that way. Her dad says that she must leave the house immediately. They both call her "him" too. She becomes homeless and thinks that everything is over. That is until she meets a group of other LGBT girls on the streets.
