Akeesha is a young girl who has been in the foster system for 5 years with her younger sister Laqueesha. When a young couple who aren't able to have a child have an opportunity to foster Akeesha, they do, but are unable to foster her sister too.
Heartbroken beyond repair Akeeha starts her new life in the small town of Winston.
