The local lake, commonly nicknamed "The Porridge" for its thick, murky consistency, has been infamous for tragedy in the town of Lincoln Creek. The locals know something dreadful is coming, and when people begin to go missing and new comers arrive in town, people's senses go into a frenzy.
Amidst the chaos, there are deep shadows being realized within the members of the town, and those who have been especially traumatized by The Porridge.
They invite the reader along on their paths of healing in their own unique ways, and explore the dark parts of our psyche that many of us have been afraid to dive into.
Everyone's ghosts come back to haunt them differently.
