Soulmates, the person you're supposed to be with. Or at least, that's what we're told. At birth, we get a necklace. It's in a unique shape, and there is only one other person who has the other half. 

    Everyone at eighteen, gathers together at their school for some sort of celebration. And that's when the necklaces are activated. 

    If your 'soulmate' is near, your necklace will warm.

    I never believed in the necklaces... I never believed it would actually work. I always believed that mine would stay forever icy against my throat.
