But, Lazara finds herself somewhere lost between two worlds. Not dead, not alive either. But lost in the void. She should've been forgotten, but she wasn't blasted through the core like Gaster. He gives her a choice. Fuse with him and escape with him or stay in the void forever and melt like he did. 

Lazara doesn't go for the ladder.
