Rose runs away from St.Vlad's after seeing ghostly visions and having a couple of encounters with Mason. She thinks she's going crazy and she's also sick of lying to Dimitri. What will happen after Dimitri finds her again? Will he be able to break her walls this time? Set after Dimitri changes back to Dhampir from Strigoi, but Rose is still struggling with the spirit darkness. Rose is 17 and she hasn't graduated yet. Neither has Tatiana died nor Lissa crowned queen.
