Phoenix wakes, she is lying on a somewhat soft hospital bed, hooked up to machinery beeping in time with her heartbeat. It starts rapidly beeping in protest, when a flash of fear rushes through her as she realizes she is bound hands and feet to the bed. Her Phoenix and it's fire is there in an instant, but the cuffs don't relinquish. A torrent of flame erupts around her, setting fire to the mattress and sheets, but the frame doesn't budge. "Emergency fire protocol activated. Start oxygen deprivation" a computerized female voice says. Phoenix can hear a hissing sound and then instantly can't catch a breath. As her flames are extinguished, she again falls unconscious. After a rocky start with the Avengers, she found exactly the people to help her haunt the monsters of her past. "I am the monster they made, the monster they are not allowed to forget." And she finds (steamy) love with Natasha Romanoff. Phoenix is an old character of mine, who has been with me for about 15 years. She once was in a world of make belief for me, but now she has found, where she belongs. Grove hill has a history of mysterious disappearances and deaths. This is the story on how I got to the bottom of it and what I found on the other side. The killing are happening again I said to my mother from the living room, she walked in to watch the news reporter explain the chain of evens that have been happening a little to close together in grove hill. The reporter spoke clearly "the last where about's have not been released yet but the lapd have been on the case for months now with the disappearances still happening will we ever get to the bottom of the phantom killer back to you John" both me and my mom looked at each other in sync saying lock up I'll take the upstairs rooms and you lock up down here. Walking up the steps my head kept circling around the fact that more and more disappearances are happening who or what could possibly be doing this. I made sure to lock every window, heading back downstairs I heard a plate drop and a scream. Mom! Mom answer me! Circling into the kitchen I see my mom laid out on the floor blood gushing from her stomach. No mom I scrabbled to grab a towel and placed it hard on her wound. I fumbled my phone a few times before I got it unlocked typing in 9-1-1 I heard someone in the corner say tsk tsk tsk I wouldn't do that.
