"Davoka was a book of some sorts, a book filled with appalling details every chapter, and for good reason, he kept himself closed. But sometimes even the worst books have to be read." If you're expecting a children's book with happy characters and a happy atmosphere, this isn't the story for you. This story is the exact opposite. If you want a happy story all through out the whole book, I suggest you go somewhere else. This isn't the book for you. But, if you're like me and like literature that has a realistic tone, maybe you should give this book a chance. You never know. Maybe you'll be pleased with what's inside.

Jamie is just trying to go through life as easily as he possibly can, but him being gay wasn't entirely helping him at his high school. He used to be happy there, he had a boyfriend, friends, but that all changed in one day. His parents love him and would do anything for him. They support him and he's lucky that he's has them. He just doesn't tell them what's going on at school. But this isn't about that. When he finally opens up about it his parents helped. They moved. Switched schools. Jamie was starting to be happy, but he still had trust issues from previous events. When he's finally accepted what happens when a certain Mr. Parker introduces himself.
