The Reapers have fallen...and everyone thinks that the great John Shepard is dead. Back on the Normandy stands his Quarian girlfriend Tali...she is devistated at his so called 'death.' And for the next 3 years John is unconscious in the battlefield. Then after 3 years...he appears.
Things don't go too well for Tali during those 3 years though. After the battle of the Reapers...Tali is kidnapped by Cerberus...and tortured. They have turned her into a Sentinel...a biotic and tech expert. But after 3 years of torture she escapes. And she now goes by The New Sentinel...and she has now become the best warrior in the universe.
But 3 years has changed a lot. Cerberus is taking over the universe...and Earth with it. With the new threat...and John's arrival, he is asked to stop Cerberus once and for all. He is then asked to recruit The New Sentinel. But when he finds out it's Tali...he is surprised at how much she's changed...she is now 28...and stronger than ever.
But even despite John's arrival...Tali is rage-filled with them. She is not so easily fooled. She agrees to work with them to stop Cerberus. Tali is recaptured and killed...whilst John watched. After Cerberus, they have the technology to bring her back. But she is not exactly the same as before. After fighting many days...they finally learn the true meaning of love.

Nicole has to face her deepest fear, her literal cloned self who's inexplicably banging the monster they spent all of book 1 killing, and the only solution is that someone has to sacrifice their life for the good of the others, and this time they have to fight a god to do it. Ancient evil rises to shows it's true form, a corrupt shadow government breaks down, the gods cannot help you anymore, and Nicole once again faces a unique problem...what the hell to do with the other Nicole. Evil doppelganger, lost soul just trying to fit in, or the only friend who truly understands her? The only way to find out, is to trust and turn her back, hoping not to have it stabbed by herself.Complete
