All the characters live in a human world, most of the stories aren't exactly how humans portrait them to be.
Like mine for example.
When people stop believing in a certain fairy tale character, they become mortal and age until they die.
That's where I come in. I take the souls of those characters and bring them to fairy tale valley where they stay until people start believing in them again. But there's a problem, I keep taking soles, and in all this time I never took any of them back into the human world. Soon there will be no fairy tales left.

WHY IS THIS STILL GETTING READS IT'S FREAKING 2022 HELP Dream grew up in a world where when you turn 16, you cough up your first flowers.
