One sentence can change everything. Furthermore one sentence can determine your role. Friend? Or stranger? May made a mistake in her 2nd year of middle school. She accidentally told Drew something she shouldn't have. And then she lied to him, causing him to change into the man he is now. They are now in highshcool. But they are farther apart than the Sun and Earth. Their paths haven't crossed since then...and it seems like, they will never cross again. But some people just wouldn't let it end there. Complete! "You know I really like you, right?" He was definitely drunk. "You do?" I asked. My voice was supposed to be teasing, but I think it came off as a bit startled. He laughed, "Yeah, why else would I trust you with all my secrets?" -- Betty was many things; a romantic, a fashion designer, a bit more jealous than the average girl, great with a camera, a helpful daughter and a good friend. But she was best known for being nice. And usually, the boy did not want the 'nice' girl. But this summer she was going to prove to Mike, her crush since FOREVER, that nice was enough. She was going to have an amazing summer, a perfect Junior year, and finally have her first kiss. It was a foolproof plan. Moving from her childhood home in Arizona to New Mexico at the start of Junior year was never a part of Betty's plan. But sometimes when parents are involved, plans change. As we sit there by the camp fire, she starts telling me that she is not afraid of she just wants to understand my motive. "I have this urge, like I have to have you, I have to feel your warm wet blood on my hands. But your different for some reason I can't hurt you no matter how hard I try. I look in your eyes and my heart pounds like its trying to rip out of my chest. I can't describe this feeling, like a war raging with in me.
