it's simple really....
The Apocalypse happened and, well, you were left to fend for yourself ever since it started. I mean you had your brother in law but he ended up leaving you for dead because of a simple mistake both of you made. so now it all started in the woods when you come across a prison...
This story is gonna start off from season 3 and will kinda follow the episodes from there.
And there will be extra chapters from time to time to make things more interesting.

Before the outbreak she was a cop just like her brother. After Rick got shot and ended up in a coma the world fell apart. The dead came back and started attacking the living. The military fell too quickly, the city was overrun by the dead and now she was at an old quarry only a few miles outside Atlanta with her Sister-In-Law, Nephew, and her brothers best friend. On the way they met a few more people and now had a small group. She slowly grows close the the youngest Dixon brother, Daryl. When they get back from their hunting trip Daryl learns his brother was handcuffed to a roof and left in the city. But what had YN in complete shock and not knowing how to deal with it is the person who did it. Her brother was alive after she already Mourned his death. She blames herself for not double checking to make sure he was really dead or not. Luckily she has a list of rules and guidelines she has been working on as the days of living in a post apocalyptic world with the living dead to keep her busy. She goes by the nickname, Kata, a name her mother gave her. When she was two, her mother disappeared. Merle was in jail for two years and by the time Merle got out, Kata was four and they left their grandfather's place after Daryl learned the dark secret that hurt his daughter. When Kata's grandfather died, her family got the trailer and even though it was hard for her family, they made it work. Kata was taught how to hunt, shoot a gun, and grossly, how to gut certain animals. One night, the world died. Everything. The dead started coming back to life, killing the living. Her family ran into a man and woman on the highway, combing with other people, making a larger group. Everything started really change when a man named Rick Grimes came to the group.
