In the Golden Age of Piracy a young orphaned girl would encounter what would become the travesties of her life. An early life of betrayal, when pirates are more trustworthy than the people claiming to love her. She would rise to a life of the court, only to wish she wouldn't and find herself in the hands of a pirate who would be her enemy until all she had were enemies. This is a tale of woe and truth regarding the true life story of Marie Anne (Dieu le Viet) a nickname which translates: God Wills it. I also know I am using different points of views from historical events. I.e how the people in my chapters view regal and political positions. Thank you so much to my readers so far, I understand I am behind in the process of chapter making, had much writers block. Please, please, please let me know how you like the book so far, any kind of commentary is helpful. Thank you!

❝ She wanted a fresh start, He wanted normalcy, But their past had other plans. ❞ ~~~ For the majority of her life, Gabriella had to endure all the things a child should never have to experience. After nearly two years of planning to start afresh, she decides moving three thousand miles away from her past, and restricting the memories of her past life to her hometown would be for the best. Even if it meant forgetting the boy who'd left her for dead after she'd given him her heart. Her life seems to be looking up when she starts falling for Hunter; the pretty boy she never intended to like. But when her past comes trailing along in the form of a person she thought she'd lost forever, her entire world she started to build starts crumbling beneath her. Slowly, she starts remembering bits and pieces of the past she thought she'd left in her old life. And the people she thought she could trust her heart with seem to be the people who are out to rip it to pieces. Does forgiveness come easy when the ones we gave our heart to are the ones who will break it without a second thought? After all, they say the heart wants what it wants, but does betrayal and heartbreak make the heart reach out farther? ~~~ A story of love, heartbreak, and betrayal...
