I rolled my eyes at that. "You can't just assume I'm gay," I said in a higher pitched voice to mock what he had said earlier. Jasper's mouth opened, offended, and he reached out to play hit me for making fun of him.
Right before he could reach me, though, I caught his wrist in the air and held it firmly. I couldn't help but to laugh and once I saw Jasper's cheeks turn bright red from my touch, I laughed even harder. Even as slightly drunk as he was, Jasper didn't lose that shy and flustered part of his personality.
The smile never left my face and my hand didn't leave Jasper's wrist. Instead, I pulled his arm so that his body fell dangerously close to mine.
"I hope you know," I told him in a hushed voice. My free hand reached up to pinch his burning face. "It's pretty hard to keep a secret when those cheeks of yours give it away every time."

His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
