Athena has an interesting ability. When Nick Fury comes and scouts her out, she reluctantly joins S.H.I.E.L.D. to be with others like her. However, she doesn't know that they aren't quite the same.

1 year after S.H.I.E.L.D collapsed, Steve Rogers and Breena Garcia are now with the Avengers. They were currently in Sokovia taking down a hidden Hydra base.
