I see him standing there watching me through the glare of street lamps. I step closer as he steps back. "Damon please! I know it's you...." I reach out a hand and step forward once more. Before i can blink he has grabbed my hand and pinned it to his chest. I let out a breath of relief and I prepare myself to look into a face far to beautiful to be human. He's bright blue eyes locked on mine and with my hand already pressed to his chest I step forward.
Hastily he drops my hand and steps back into the dark. Angers get the better of me and I scream out his name. "Damon! quit that right now! You are not leaving me! Not again..." my voice breaks and I look down hoping he didn't catch the look on my face. A finger lifts my chin up and I'm back to staring at his face. " Liz, don't try and find me. Cause you won't. I'm going to a place even god himself won't go. But I'll be back" he winks at me and starts to walk away. I'm to stunned to move and i can only watch as he stops and turns his body slightly. " oh and darlin? Names not Damon anymore. It's Lucifer."

He looked at me in shock, his grip on my shoulder loosening. "Why would you say that? Why would you think that would be easier for me?" he asked, his voice filled with confusion and hurt. I closed my eyes, unable to meet his gaze as I replied, "Because I don't deserve your love. I'm not who you think I am." He sat there in silence, processing my words.
