Shimmer is different. And she hates it. No one else looks like her. And she is left out because of it. Labeled as, 'Weird' she is the outcast at school, even among other outcasts. But when she is offered a chance at looking like everyone else, she may find that being different is what she really wants.

"Wanting more than what you already have may lead to your ultimate doom."

Ho-oh is powerful. He is ancient and can is one of the most respected legendaries out there. But for him, its not enough. Wanting more power than he already has, he sets off on a quest for more, and he could die if he fails.

"Life is not living unless lived life as one's own."

Shimmer wants to be like everyone else. Ho-oh wants to more than everyone else. Fate is cruel, but this time, it's intentions don't seem quite so evil.
