Elizabeth "Ellie" Silver has it all: The all star boyfriend, the popularity, and the beautiful friends. Ellie has everything any girl can want, so why does she seem so upset?
She hides her grades from her popular friends, giving them fake schedules every year to disguise her AP and Honors classes from their judging eyes. In these nerdy classes, she quickly changes into something to blend in and strictly goes by her birth name, creating a second identity. She often compares her life to a snow globe, something so delicate but always being watched and shook around.
Ellie definitely loves the popularity, but not for long. When she's stranded at a band competition since her step-mother refuses to pick her up, she runs into the handsome Jesse Ace, leader of the yearbook team and helps run the computer lab.
After her friends also refuse to help her get back home, Ellie relies on the dorky Jesse to take her back, realizing that the non-populars have more heart than she could've ever imagined.
Jesse is the only boy to show her true compassion and emotion, unknowingly breaking her small snow globe of life.
