Four years ago Chase Declan left behind his father and sister and joined the military at the age of 17, now he is coming home and expecting to see the same happy sister and forgiving father; but he's thrown off the edge when he finds out that his sister has been battling cancer for the last three years. In comes Jamie Novell, an 18 year old waitress trying to support herself and her mother all while comforting and helping the Declan household. Chase is immediately intrigued and attracted to her caring personality and tries his best to win her over and heal past wounds with his family.
