During a high risk case Sherlock accidentally creates some casualties. The government is ready to throw him in prison but instead provides a deal. He was given the choice of either six months court order therapy or eight years in prison. He chooses therapy but wants to choose him on psychiatrist. He decides on Hannibal and the Board of Psychology gives Hannibal the offer. Hannibal accepts and establishes a temporary residency in England for his new patient. This doesn't stop Hannibal from being a cannibalistic murderer and a new series of murders takes Sherlock's interest. He decides to find this new killer in secret while he still continues his therapy. Hannibal as well develops a growing interest in Sherlock.

It wasn't hard to get along, usually. John could handle Sherlock's bluntness and absolute disregard - or lack of knowledge - for people's feelings or sentiment. And Sherlock could handle John's questions about everything he said. John Watson: An army doctor, stationed in Afghanistan, shot in the leg, put out of commission. Psychosomatic limp; magically gone when he went on a case with Sherlock. Sherlock Holmes: High-functioning sociopath, and the only Consulting Detective in the world. He could read people, he could see crimes in the crime-scene; he could win. ♫ ♫ ♫ Sherlock Holmes went off the rails. He did an experiment that got him hospitalized after John found him on the scene. Lines were crossed. Rules were made. Everything was on the line - concentration on cases slowly dwindled, priorities were mixed, and absolutely everything was spinning. ♫ ♫ ♫ Good habits, bad habits, and everything in between. You have good habits, sure, and they have to be balanced out with bad habits. For most people, that's taking your vitamins every day crossed with cracking your knuckles. Time skip to four years on, the famous uncle to the Holmes brothers sadly passes away which gives meaning for Mycroft Holmes in the realisation that his departed uncle gave him leverage that during the moment, he does not quite fully understand. Another time skip to four years later, Elina finds herself constantly drunk due to the dismay of losing herself in the worst of ways to her boyfriend and finally decides for herself to do better, to be better and quite frankly, to not let anyone rain on her parade. During the case of what Dr. J. H. Watson; likes to recall as, A Scandal In Belgravia, Elina is down on her luck and reunites with her younger sister Molly in hopes to get her life back on track. To Mycroft Holmes, Elina Serenity Hooper is just a passing face but it can't be coincidence by the power of the universe that she happens to turn up at his office, looking her best with sharp senses and tactical knowledge applying herself for the position to become his newly established personal assistant? Perhaps Elina would admit in the end that her likeness for the Ice Man had blossomed early which in turn would slowly bloom into her first true love. Perhaps Mycroft would admit in the end that despite his tetchy aura and complications of being himself, he was indeed capable of being loved and to go as far as loving someone too...
