Clark who is nearing his first year of adulthood feels that at this place where he thinks he is somewhat treated like a prisoner because he has tried to kill himself. He attempted to die because he thought everything in life is a distraction. He doesn't like to talk about why he is at the mental hospital. He is assigned to Clarity Hill after being proven mentally unstable by a judge for committing murder with reasonable cause. The murder that was very contradictory in his community. He was avenging his sister who’d been raped by one of her ‘friends’. He had protected her honor, but living in the area he did, didn’t help his cause. Rian wouldn’t tell you that there was definite racism along with other things coming from the judge. He was a young African-American boy and the judge was beyond biased to his race. Despite the evidence that proved Rian deserved to be free. Rian was okay with taking on treatment at Clarity Hill until he is proven stable. Among many things Rian would be the last one to tell you that the only reason he was decided unstable and put in Clarity Hill is because some evidence was revealed that Rian was gay. Rian meets a group of clinically insane boys and Clark. Each boy has their own differing stories. Since they are already in a mental hospital they all expect they’ve hit their lowest moment in their lives. Could it be possible for them to have their greatest moment in a psychiatric ward?
