Young small Poppykit and her littermates live a good life in EchoClan, but when a tragedy happens---the whole Clan is devastated but she was the most devastated one in the Clan. She stopped talking to everyone, but when she got older she leaves and meets a cat, who she fell in love with. She joins the cat with him but she still fears the tragedy will happen again.
