A modern retelling of Cinderella

After seventeen years of living under her parents' strict rule and being the perfect, obedient daughter, Cynthia's friends convince her to sneak out for one night of fun. But when she meets a charming stranger at the party, her life is turned on it's head as her eyes are opened to the joys of youth. Now, with her parents enraged over a lost phone and no idea who her mystery man is, how will she ever be able to reclaim that glimpse of happiness?

[This was originally written for the Once Upon Now contest.  I wasn't able to finish on time to enter the competition, but I still wanted to complete and share it with you.]
