Renee Tori Holfinder, commonly known as 'Tori,' was perfectly fine where she was. She had a job, and her future looked bright.
After leaving her uncles diner one night, she meets a Collector. Next thing you know, this guy shows up claiming he's Death himself. Turns out, that's not the end of this roller coaster.
The darkest being to have ever lived, thought to be imprisoned has returned threatening anything and everything Renee has ever known.
Her dreams of a particular stranger don't help. Why is he telling her to find him? Sure, he's handsome, but it's not quite what she'd like to be dreaming of. Ahem. Death.
Is Death the bad guy, or not? She can't tell. Half of the people she knows are telling her he is, and the other half are telling her he's not.
Prophecies get tiring real quick. Especially when they include Renee, Death, The Guardian, and The greatest evil to have ever lived.

Nico Di Angelo's school is taking the whole junior year on a trip to Greece. Following the no gender mingling school policy, Nico groups with his best buds Percy Jackson and Jason Grace. All is well and good before Will Solace joins their bubble. Nico gets a strange, tingly, ticklish feeling in his stomach when he's around Will. It doesn't help when they have to pair off to explore the Parthenon and Percy and Jason take off, leaving Nico alone with Will. It also doesn't help when the two boys decide to share a bed at the hotels.
