"Stranges" are known throughout the world as things to be hated: children who possess amazing powers from birth, and never age a day past fourteen. They are hunted, and taken away to who knows where. Many are never seen again. 
Raven Ashton always hid the fact that her father was a Strange; what she also hid was what he left her: abilities of telekinesis. She'd gone her whole life without anyone knowing about her abilities, but after her fourteenth birthday, the assistant of a famous scientist notices her, and the odd things that happen when she gets scared. The next day, she's kidnapped. Now Raven is trapped in an underground lab with others who possess Strange abilities, the precious "pets" of a genius billionaire sadist. Is there a way out? Then one day, some soldiers turn up in a shopping center where she's staying for the night. They take her to a place where more teenagers live. It's nothing like a home. There, they have to train, though nobody knows what for. When Lorelai decides not to do what she's being told and take things in her own hands, she doesn't know what awaits her. As she tries to escape the people trying to use her-and many others-for their plans, for the first time, she gets the chance to find out what happened to this destroyed and abandoned world-and maybe also about her past. English isn't my first language, so I'd be happy to receive some criticism and also tips. I'd like to know if my story is interesting, so I know if I should go on and how to improve it :) I know, my writing isn't so good in the beginning, but I think it gets better throughout the story.
