A family? Across the street? They don't look like they're from just anywhere. Joe looks out his front door after a crazy morning only to discover this new family moving into the neighborhood. A turn of events. A weird start of a friendship. Let's hope all goes well in this timeframe take of a Normal life AU for Joker, and Batman.
Note: in this story Bruce's parents never die. Joker isn't insane. Also other characters have different occupations. Oh yeah and Harley is Jokers sister.

A Modern Joke
As an aspiring writer, it's difficult not to look at stories you love and wonder 'What if?' I have notice how the Joker's origin in The Killing Joke and the Joker movie (2019) both stories take place during the 1980s. But what if it took place today? That's what I try to answer! In this original work I explore how a complex character like the Joker could emerge and be influence by current social problems. It's a romantic, and specially mysterious short story that I wish one day could help me make it to DC as a comic book writer, and if I don't, at least I enjoyed writing it, and I hope you enjoy reading it! A few years later on one night this new guy comes to Gotham he goes by the red hood. He seems to know who they are and may not be a stranger after all. Some parts of the story are from Batman under the red hood and some parts are my own.
