Lady Lysandra of Terrasen was given a task. Become Aelin Ashryver Galathynius. Simple enough, right? Wrong. Not only did Lysandra not want to be Aelin, but she did not wish to return to what she'd just escaped.
Now Aelin has returned, Terrasen is overjoyed to have their dead princess return to them. Their fire, once again ignited. But things at Court aren't perfect. Lysandra struggles to decide what to do. Stay with her beloved Queen, her friends? Or keep her promise to Aedion?
What will she choose? Will her love for Terrasen and its people make her stay, or will her yearning for a land she has not seen in decades, make her leave everything she's ever known. A person from her long forgotten past returns, only to make her decision more challenging.
Will this stranger from her past coerce her to leave her friends, her new family? Or will her love for what she's been deprived of so long win out in the end? Will Evangeline be enough to keep her in Terrasen should she choose to leave? Or will someone else have to step up to the plate......
