This book talks about life's ups and downs, how the main character, Elena, got over these.

Elena is a 13 year-old, brunette girl that lives in a small city in northern Mexico. She is forced to overcome puberty; all the obstacles like facing expulsion or the lost of a dear friend are some of the many she will have to overcome. Elena also has problems home; even tough her mother does not admit it, she knows that sometimes, when her father gets drunk, or has had a difficult day at work, he would make her mom's life misserable.
