I watched in awe as she made her way through the court yard. Her soft brown hair falling down herback; ripped skinny jeans, white satin top that flowed down her stomach, and to tie it together, her leather jacket. She walked into the building with purpose, as if always on a mission. Her brown puppy dog eyes scanned the area. Those deep brown eyes landed on me, success filling those eyes. I watched as her lips and moved and her tongue kissed her teeth, mouthing the best words to every be spoken, "Hey Holleywood." I watched as River moved his hand down her back, dangerously close to her butt. She walked into the building, her binder at her hip, RIver at her side. I looked back down in my hand, my heart fluttering as I read every word.

Pain Killer

35 parts Complete

[Completed AND EDITED Novel] "You sure you're alright?" "Yep, I'm okay." I purse my lips, watching the little dust particles float in and out of the phone's light. "I got my required dosage for the night." "What is that?" "You." For as long as she can remember, Delilah has battled her demons at every waking moment. But one day, her expectations of life begin to disentangle when she has a chance encounter with a smiling stranger. Numbing her pain, his unwavering smile becomes an antidote to the shadows that plague her existence. A pain killer, if you will. Contains themes of suicide, anxiety, depression, and self-harm. Be aware, there is NO sugarcoating Now available as a hardcover on Amazon! ~ Pain Killer - Catherine Buchholz ~ GUYS, I EDITED THIS WHOLE THING a few comments have talked about Uri being a creep, and Delilah being a blank sheet (sound familiar? Twilight? anyone?) so i took into my able hands the job of: a. making Uri a better ML overall, he's nicer and more gentle which is what i strive for with my male characters in general. b. i gave a personality to Delilah. in the beginning, she was simply a face for my demons and mental issues, but when i decided to make this into a real novel, i had to face the fact that she was just.... flat-out boring and unrealistically blank (and selfish too... made me rethink my own views haha...). so hopefully this helps the book go smoother and everything. enjoy!
