Two months after the two meet and become friends, they then become a couple. Darius' life then takes a horrible turn yet again as Bryn falls severely ill. Darius stays with her for the months that follow the sickness that traps her. Darius soon must face the choice of moving on from yet another loss, or falling back into the depression he had found after his mother's death.
