Kasane is like a classy horror that looks at the darker side of the entertainment world and what the top stars might have done to get to the top. A young girl is left by her mother a magic lipstick that you can steal anyone's face just by kissing them. This simple plot takes on a dynamic life of it's own that you could over analyze all day, seeing how the lipstick could be an analogy to the make up industry, plastic surgery, or how you can steal someone's life or status through forming an intimate relationship with them. It has gorgeous art and leaves you just enough room to think about what it all really means.
It's not a hardcore horror but if you have body issues, it will terrify you to ask yourself: "would you use the lipstick and whose face would you steal?"
