Charlotte has been an outcast since the blackout. She's been ignored because of the mark on her arm, indicating that she's a castaway. Now she's decided to go to the City of Light. The only place with electricity in the world. Now, you may think that people would be flooding there for resources.... But no, this City is where the 'outcasts' live.

On the way there, she encounters one of her favorite bands who are also headed to the City of Light and they begin a friendship that no one can really understand. And a relationship that's surely....bulletproof to anything that comes their way.
