It's so beautiful.
In this moment, I'm not stranded in space.
It's been 97 years since a nuclear apocalypse killed everyone on Earth, leaving the planet simmering in radiation.
Fortunately, there were survivors.
at the time of the bombs.
There is now only The Ark, one station forged from the many.
We're told the Earth needs another 100 years to become survivable again.
and man can go home, back to the ground.
The ground, that's the dream.

BOOK I: The Reasons - the ground is unforgiving. So is survival. Madison Cameron was born in space, a child of the Ark, never feeling the sun on her skin or breathing the fresh, unfiltered air of Earth. She's never experienced the sensation of water, the way it would flow against her or lap around her as she swam. For three generations, humanity has clung to the Ark, floating in the cold vacuum of space, its fragile walls the only barrier between them and extinction. The Ark was all they knew-sterile, artificial, far from the dangers and beauty of Earth below. But now, the Ark is dying. It can't sustain them much longer. They are the last hope of mankind, a fragile chance for survival. The Earth they land on, however, is nothing like they imagined. It's not a fresh start or paradise - it's a nightmare. The air is toxic, wildlife monstrous, and every step is a battle for survival. The Earth is alive, but it's unforgiving. Amidst this chaos, Madison and Bellamy Blake find themselves at the forefront, taking on the roles of leaders. Both carry the heavy weight of responsibility, knowing that the survival of the remaining human race rests in their hands. They both strive to protect their people, to do whatever it takes to ensure their survival. But where Madison is focused on the harsh reality of survival-pragmatic, calculating, determined to keep them alive - Bellamy's vision is driven by something more abstract: freedom. They clash over their ideals - her need for structure, his thirst for freedom - and every time their paths cross, the tension between them makes their already perilous situation even more volatile. Yet, the Earth continues to test them. It doesn't care about their petty squabbles or their hopes for a better future. Hell and Back (The 100)
Having been ripped out of her mother's arms right after being born a minute later than her twin, Wren Jordan was sent to the Sky Box on the Ark. Considered a criminal for the simple act of being born, lonely walls and cell guards are all she has and all she's ever known for the past seventeen years. When forced out of her cell one day and placed on a ship, a confused but excited Wren learns that she is part of The 100, a group of underage criminals, that are to be sent back to Earth, where no one has been to in decades. Filled with mixed emotions, Wren finds that she has no idea on what to expect on the ground. A sure death, most likely. What she most certainly didn't expect was to find that her twin was to be sent down with her and the rest of The 100. Determined to keep herself and her recently met twin alive on the ground, Wren is willing to do whatever it takes to keep them safe. But when some of the delinquent group decide to cause trouble, she finds that she got more than she bargained for when she tries to stop them. Confused, with new and mixed feelings found, Wren Jordan will find that it takes more to survive than she thought and that some people make it worth your while to go to Hell and Back. The Day We Left Earth
If we stayed there any longer, we would have died. Earth was no longer our home, but instead a barren waste land from which we had to escape. Its calm blue oceans were replaced by big empty pits, and the green grass which used to cover our planet has now died, leaving all ground we tread on brown. The sun was getting too close to earth. It was going to explode soon, meaning we would have to leave. Either that, or die on what we called home. Not everyone left, not everyone was saved, but most of us are here in our new home. It's a huge space station called 'Earth Resides'. All of us who made it here, though, refer to it as our last resort. My names Mia. I've been here nine years. Cora was very well known in the ark, when she and 99, plus one, others were sent to the ground she struggled to adapt to the new surroundings as did everyone else. She faced the challenges of mentally self preparation of what secrets the Earth held within. 'Why was she arrested?' hardly anyone asked because they knew what Cora had done why she was locked up for nine years of her life. In the process of all she deals with the pain of new kinds of love and being able to trust people after so many years of distrust. Falling for a boy whose sister was your sell mate isn't as easy as it sounds. But this story isn't just about love, because once a hardass always a hardass. ______________Complete

It all happened in one day. The nuclear explosion. The gas spilling out of the nuclear plant and poisoning people. The gas moving over the grave yard and the dead popping out a couple minutes later. People eating others. It's so much. I don't know if I will be able to survive.Complete
