Once you leave you may not come back unless ordered to. America, an Angel forced to become one with the Fallen, was gifted to opportunity to re-enter and integrate back into the Angelic Society. Something no Fallen Angel has been able to do. Him and a small group of other Fallen Angels, as well as his found brother, a Demon, became a part of a government run program to see if reintegration was even possible. The small group have no choice but to put up with the insistent bulling and borderline terrorism from the students at an all Angel academy. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.
