In the story, everyone is given a special necklace at birth. It is in a unique shape, but only half of it. Your destined soulmate has the other half. Some people are born with the same one, though. So that's why whenever you get closer to your soulmate, the necklace becomes warmer, and it glows. When you get farther, it gets colder. The only way to know for sure if the two necklaces attract like magnets to make the complete shape.

In Bellevue, Washington, Shelby Grace and Max LaPlume are two friends. For some reason, whenever they are close, their amulets get warmer and they begin to glow brightly. They think that they got the wrong necklaces, so they try and trade their necklaces to the hospital. Then they realize, what if its meant to be? Are they? Find out here!

After a year away at Kitty Hawk, Cassie Maybank returns to the Outerbanks with a determination to get her life back on track. To stay healthy, to make her own friends, to live a normal, steady life like every teenage girl should. But after hearing the news of the passing of one of her closest friends, and coming back to the island, she realizes her brother's letters severely underestimated how much had truly changed. A lot can happen in a year. Friends become strangers, brothers become liars. Some enemies become allies, some enemies become lovers. © Inslaytiable | June 22nd, 2023
