"The clouds slowly covered the moon and something pale glinted in the waning light that caught Mark's attention. As the clouds moved overhead, the two were thrown into complete and total darkness. An inky black that swallowed everything. Then, a noise. The tall grass of the field next to them rustled noisily and twigs snapped. Gravel skidded. Mark didn't turn his light on. He didn't need to. He knew what was watching him, stalking him....hunting him." The Alpha is a story about predators and their prey. It all began when the world ended. Grace, a young woman working as a cashier at a convenience store, finds herself lost in the apocalypse but to make matters worse, she's being hunted. But were it not for a soldier named Mark and his team, she would be lost to the apocalypse. The two must do all they can to ensure both their survivals and the survival of the remaining townspeople from the hordes of undead and the monster stalking the outskirts..a task that will prove possible for only a certain few. Happy now, W.F.?

In the darkness lurks a creature like no other, that prays upon us. Hunting us! Waiting for just the right moment to strike, to knock us off of our high pedestal and back onto the ground. I know this because I have seen this beast. Been face to face with it, battled toe to toe with this creature, fighting for what was left of my life, and I was losing! - - - - - - - - "Watch out!" I scream in alert, as a hard thudding sound pierced our ears as something slammed into our side of the car, sending a sensation of dizziness as the car spun of of control. The screeching tires dragged along the floor, with the faint stench of the irony liquid dripping from my head as it all grew still...
